The following are Guestbook submissions from our former website prior to decommissioning. Since many of these came from family & close friends, I wanted to preserve their thoughts & comments...
- Bob, Saw this site thru a post from Debby Bacon and found your thoughts to be well considered and organized. And they mirror my own in many regards. I've never done a world voyage but have taken 23 cruises to date and still have places to see! I look forward to perusing your blog in more detail.
- Bob
What a wonderful way to express your thoughts. Thank you for your friendship. Love Tooti - What a well organized, informative, fun website! Scanning through it, I recognize people from last year's 2012 cruise. I will be reading every log from both cruises you took. You really do need to sign up for the 2014 cruise so we friends can follow along. This is great stuff! Patti
- Bob & Cheryl
What an interesting journey. You will have so many wonderful memories to reflect upon. Look forward to being able to chat. Love you both Tooti - Hey friends
My surgery is this Friday. I hope to come home Sunday or Monday. I will be on crutches for 3 months to give new legs time to heal properly. Charlie is going to have his hands full. His housekeeper, cook, gardner, laundry lady etc. will not be too mobile. Wanted to let you know the date. Love Tooti - The boys loved the picture of Grandma Cheryl with the snake around her neck. I enjoyed the pictures of you handing out candy, Daddy. Stay safe! Love you both!!
- Incredibly moving commentary and pictures for Nosy Be! Those kids will never forget the candy man! And your absolutely right, we really do take things like shoes, electricity, even chocolate for granted.
- Wow! Nosy Be sounds incredible. I'm with you Bob no snakes. So glad you gave out candy and made the village people so happy. You have always been a very kind man. Love to you & the other Mrs. C. Toots
- Wow I cannot fathom my friend raising her voice. However, I didn't know she snored either-ha! Just kidding mrs c. Love to both of you
Toots - Hi guys
Sounds like you are having a blast.
Love reading & seeing photos of your journey. Love tooti - Hello my friends, hope you are having an awesome trip? We miss you. Love tooti & Charlie
- Hi,
Thanks for the shout out! After our cruise, we arrived in MN to freezing rain and then 4 innches of snow. It was beautiful but totally different from Aruba! Roger and Cory sang Kareoke on the ship. And with the four of us as a team, won a Big Band music trivia contest. Our prize was a bottle of champayne. Imagine that! We had a great time. We talked about you and wondered where in the world you were. We did not have great internet service either. It is a bit frustrating at times.
Can not imagine being on a ship for 5 months! Yikes!
Love reading about your adventures. Keep them coming. Safe travels and may the sea remain calm.
Vickie Gran - Hi Bob & Cheryl, looks like you guys are having a great time. Stay safe!
- Greetings, I have been following your blog and enjoying reading about your trip. So interesting! Cory & Lynn Groves and Roger and I are leaving Fort Lauderdale for Aruba and Curcaco on Jan 19. Our 5th cuise and Groves 1st. Should be a fun time. Hope your adventure is as wondaerful as last year. Stay healthy!
Vickie Gran - Good morning Bob and Cheryl. Have a wonderful adventure. I am looking forward to reading all about it. Stay healthy and safe.
Bon Voyage! - I am very impressed with your site! I wrote a blog on a travel site during our 2008 cruise, but it pales in comparison with this. I have lots to learn. We look forward to meeting you in January.
- This is amazing! Thank you f taking us around the world. We have never read a better, more well-written blog. We were in India 3 years ago as well as Komodo Island. Your comments are so right about the poverty & poor standard of living. What's the government doing? Nothing! And Komodo Island. You couldn't pay us to go back there. A real death trap in our opinions. It will happen again someday and the ships will stop going there. Thank you again Bob and Cheryl.
- Incredible journey - we started reading & following in April and couldn't put it down! We learned of your website through a travel agent who was avidly following your journey - it was as if we were there with you. Awesome job Bob!
- Bob, we were on a Princess cruise through Komodo Island & west to India. Your comments & observations are not only spot-on but exceptionally well-written. We are looking forward to your 2013 adventure. We would very much enjoy corresponding with you in the future. Thank you so much!
- We left home on a camping tour on the 19th of April, so I just now got to catch up on your final days of the cruise. How special. This is such a wonderful way to share your experience. Thanks so much for creating it! I know you're looking forward to 2013!
- Bob and Cheryl, Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us both in writing and in photos. It has been so interesting. I'm glad you had a safe and wonderful time.
- Some friends of ours told us about your blog and we have been following you since March. My wife and I have been thinking about how we want to celebrate our 40th anniversary next February and thanks to you, we are now booked on the world voyage! There were only 6 cabins left!! Thanks so much for your inspiration. You have made some old folks very happy! We look forward to meeting you next year!
- Welcome home! I loved reading about your "trip of a lifetime". Every entry was fascinating. Thanks for sharing with us.
- What an incredible journey you two have been on. Thank you for sharing it via this site. I love travel but have been to very few places so far. Your blog has helped me prioritze my list for future travel. The pictures are great, but the words are the best! THX
- Hey mom and dad! Hope your enjoying your final days at sea! Just thought I would let you know Brittany and I clicked on the "like" button for you, but neither of us have Facebook so I don't think it worked lol. Sorry but Facebook is not for us. Wwwaaaayyyy to busy working. It's almost 7 so its past my bedtime (i get up at around 1:45 for work now). We love you both very much!
- Bob - I have so enjoyed reading about your travels. So glad that you had a great trip and can't wait to hear about the next one!
- Bob & Cheryl,
I have enjoyed reading all about your trip as well as the many photos. Have a great trip back to AZ. Look forward to actually speaking to you both on the phone.
Much love Tooti - Bob...have really enjoyed your cruise with you! Thanks again for sharing it with us. Looking forward to seeing old friends at the Blue Star Premiere on June 8...hope you & Cheryl can make it. Carry on...or should I say 'Sail on'.
- Dad, first a dress, and now a "murse"? (Man purse). Love all the pictures from your last ports! We were starting to get worried about you guys because we didn't see an update for the past couple ports. All that's left now is the marathon run across the Atlantic and the flight back across the country and you get your bed back. Let's hope Chris and Shana took care of all the scorpions! Love you both and enjoy the last week at sea!
- We're so glad that Egypt was open to tourism for you guys! It will be amazing to see both of you again. Hard to believe there's only 2 weeks left! If you both are eager to come home, maybe this will change your mind: there was a scorpion on the bed the other morning. Dead, but with it's stinger straight up. Might be time to stock up on gasoline and a blowtorch. Love and miss you both!
- Shana - Bob & Cheryl,
You both look great. Bob I am glad you are feeling better. Love to both of you
Toot & Charlie - Safe travels to you and Cheryl, have fun, stay safe, and best wishes to you both! Have the best time of your lives, so well deserved. So happy for you both.
- Bob,
Please get well soon I don't want miss out on Egypt either, purely selfish on my part. Seriously I enjoy reading about your journeys. Listen to Doc Cheryl and I'm sure you will be better in no time at all. - I'm getting so much vicarious enjoyment from your journey..especially love the Mardi Gras experience! Looks like you are having an amazing time...blessings and best wishes to you both!
- Hey! Wow, really enjoy your stories. Mason has been inquiring about the desert alot lately. Told him that one day we would go see Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cheryl in the desert! We are doing great. Trying to make decisions about Mason's schooling for kindergarden, working on re-doing the kids' bedrooms, and working full time to pay for it all. :) We are headed to a 3D ultrasound place in the morning, can't wait to see Molly girl at almost 30 weeks! Will send you a pic! LOVE YOU BOTH!
- Daddy and Cheryl,
The only burger you should be eating in Phoenix is either A.) one of your homemade patties (which my husband makes very well now since you taught him) or B.) In-and-Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shame on you both. LOL!! just kidding....so glad you guys are having a blast and you are feeling better! This is such an educational experience for us back home. The past two weeks we've learned about box jelly fish, kangaroos, when to get worried in the jungle with Komodo dragons (if they get really low to the ground and turn their head sideways....don't move), never buy dress shoes in Hong Kong, and most importantly where NOT to go on a trip! We are right here with ya!!!! Love you most!!! - Adam, Renee, and Miss McLayne (17lbs now) - Hi Bob & Cheryl,
So glad you are having an awesome trip and happy you are feeling better Bob. My buddy knows how to take good care of her man...
Charlie had a surprise 50th for me on Sat. Way too much fun. Love you both Toot - Bob,
So glad you are feeling better. How awful to be ill so far from home. It is good to hear that the medical staff did a great job. It probably helped that you have your own private nurse:) Cheryl ROCKS!!! Have a great time in Singapore. Be safe. - Hey, Daddy and Cheryl! We really enjoyed reading about Austrailia. How neat! The pics were great, too. :) We are doing well. Celebrating our eleventh anniversary this weekend. Miss you guys. Love you both!
- Bob,
I agree with Julie. I look forward to reading about your journey and love seeing photos. Sure miss chatting with the other Mrs. C though. Please give her a BIG hug from me. Love to both of you Toots - Thanks so much for letting us join your journey. I thought I should let you know that I am following you every step of the way. Keep on writing I love reading about all the details of your day on board ship and off. Take care!!
- Amazing how you two went from freezing temps to 80 degrees in a matter of days. And yes Daddy, we are very proud of you for taking the Arctic Plunge! I thank Cheryl especially for taking a picture to prove the story. And what a great woman, waiting out in the cold with a robe and coffee for you! Speaking of pictures, be sure to take some from the 'Hearts and Flower Ball' tomorrow night. We want to see you all dressed up! Happy Valentines Day!! Love you most - Adam, Renee, and Miss Mclayne Kelly (who is now up to 15lbs)
- Bob, that was so sweet of you to help that lady and Cheryl's attempt to help the Physician.
Glad the two of you are enjoying the trip.
P.S. Didn't know the other Mrs. C. snored-ha! I guess I'll have something to tease her about when we chat...Love Toot - Hi you two, I finally got a chance to see what you are up to. Wow. Sounds like you are having a blast.Smooth sailings.
Sue and Larry Metz - Roger and I have been enjoying reading about your adventures since Kell shared your website with us. It sounds fabulous! We have cruised with Steve & Karen Munns, Jerry & Barb (Noyes)Plummley, Tom and Carol Bernett and will be going with Cory ad Lynn Groves in March. Thanks for sharing. Keep those great stories coming.

- Bob and Cheryl:
Thank you so much for creating this website. I've had so much fun following your adventure. A little concerned that you had taken ill, when we didn't hear from you for a few days.
Enjoy. - Bob,
Are you crazy-ha! I hope the pool was heated?
Tell Mrs. C. "Hello"
Love you guys
Toot - Bob & Cheryl,

Walt - Bob & Cheryl,
The Falkland Islands sound beautiful. Sorry to hear the two of you got bumped around a bit, yet had an incredible time.
Stay warm.
Love Tooti - Thank you for taking/downloading all the photos. It gives us all back home the pleasure to be able to see each adventure and brings your journal entries to life! I've always wanted to visit Rio. One of my favorite artists, Ben Harper, has a song titled 'Blessed' and the lyrics speak about Corcovado and Christ. We are blessed to have such great wonders. The picture you took was amazing! Thank you! Love you both! Adam, Renee, and baby Layne.

I can see it now.....y'all with the hair dryer and coffee maker trying to get warm. Lol!! Sounds like you had a great day in the rain forest! My day wasnt as near as exciting however, it was McLaynes first day at Chesterbrooke Acadamey and my first day back at the office. It went very well!!! She fell asleep before her bedtime tonight so I guess they wore her out and she enjoyed her new environment. Love and hugs!!
