Naples - Part Two - Sunday October 9th

Our 4th visit to Naples over the past three years, having toured the Amalfi coast, Sorrento, and most recently, the Pompeii ruins. As we expected this to be our last visit, we decided to see as much of the city as possible. The day started overcast & wet, quickly cleared, and by 4pm sizeable thunderstorms rolled in. Our timing couldn't have been better to get some shots of a very interesting city - many contradictions - the old, the new, the ugly, the beautiful...but really, isn't that true for just about every place? What makes Naples is her people and history - and a great place she truly is! Tremendous day - we took over 500 pics between the two of us, but narrowed it down to 300+.

Packing this evening - always sad - but what a great adventure, and looking forward to new horizons in May. Next and last stop this trip...ROME! First visit...we're like kids in a candy store. Can't wait to immerse ourselves - three days - weather forecast is spotty - some rain, some chilly evenings in the mid-40's, but it doesn't matter - we'll somehow make it work.

Thanks for joining us these past several weeks!
