Belfast, Ireland

Our second visit to Belfast, Ireland – first visit 2 years ago. Weather was much nicer this trip with highs in the 60’s.

One irritating change we’ve noticed. Both Dublin and Belfast have instituted a $20 per person charge to transport guests from their ship into the city. Holland America didn’t forewarn passengers from what I can find – it just doesn’t seem right, but what are you gonna do?

Cheryl and I were among the first off. Having visited the modern Titanic museum during our last visit and toured the entire city, we spent all of our time in the heart of downtown but in particular, City Hall. Very old, but nice facility offering historic insights into the past. We spent a good two hours there before taking a lengthy walk around the downtown area.

Once we leave Ireland, we’re heading back to Iceland & Greenland for some new ports!
