Our first day out of Ft. Lauderdale was extremely quiet. Most folks were still catching-up on their sleep, unpacking, or both. The hallways & public areas were deserted by contrast of a typical day. We spent most of our time by the pool playing cards, though we haven’t found partners yet. There’s still peace in the family – Cheryl won the first game of rummy, I won the second. The highlight of our day was at 4:30 in the Ocean’s Bar where we normally meet with friends for Happy Hour before dinner. Bill & Mary McFadden (from Tampa) gave us a salt & pepper shakers commemorating our 25th wedding anniversary, which was New Year’s Eve. So very thoughtful of these wonderful people! Mary is pictured here with Cheryl during yesterday’s embarkation – such a sweetheart! She's a retired surgical nurse while her husband Bill a retired eye doctor.
