Kanazawa, Japan

 

Commentary to be published tomorrow. We missed Tokyo as you know, but Kanazawa was absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful day, and felt like we were finally in Japan. Such an incredible city with very gracious, kind people! We're currently heading west in the Sea of Japan, trying to outrun some of the outer-bands of the typhoon, then we head south toward our next port of Fukuoka - scheduled to dock Monday morning. Kanazawa (east coast) is parallel with Tokyo (west coast) separated by a large mountain range. Even with that, the effects of the typhoon can be felt on the ship. We have a long day & night ahead of us.
